Parish Life Parish Life is a key part of what makes Grace Episcopal special. Whether it is a summer picnic or a Shrove Tuesday pancake feast, we love to be together. We have a full service kitchen and indoor and outside areas in which to gather. Members of our Parish Life ministries also plan and facilitate fellowship activities through out the year. If you are interested in our fellowship activities, please see our calendar. If you feel called to help in this area of ministry, please call Chae at 437-1133 or e-mail mailto:office@gracemorganton.org
ECW is a national church organization for women whose primary goal is to unite the women of the Dioceses in a program of worship, study, service, and fellowship which will deepen and strengthen their own spiritual lives and lead them into service of the Church in the parish, community, dioceses, nation, and world. Grace's Chapter of ECW meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings are not held between June and August.
Men of Grace The Men of Grace is an ad hoc church group who get together as needed to perform various local or church ministries. Historically, The Men of Grace have been responsible for the cooking of our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, organizing parish yard sells and Church clean ups, as well as hosting various Church and local outreach ministries.
Parish Weekend Every other year, Grace Episcopal gets together as a parish family, and travels up the mountain to Lake Logan Episcopal Center for a weekend of worship and fellowship. If you are interested in attending the 2008 Parish Family this October, or would like more information about the trip, please contact the Church office at 828-437-1133.
Special Events Grace Episcopal Church is constantly alive with activity and fellowship. One never knows when a special event will pop up at Grace. Individuals or groups within the Church have organized events; such as, cannoning the New River with the church youth, biking the Virginia Creeper Trail, Diocesan trips, outings to museums, concerts, and the theater. Essentially, there is always something to be involved with at Grace Episcopal.
Hospitality GREETERS PROGRAM: The mission of the Greeters ministry is greeting all parishioners, visitors and positional new members of Grace Episcopal Church each and every Sunday Morning. We try our best to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable while at Grace Church. We greet before the Sunday morning service and again at the end of the service. Our greeter's teams are there to answer any questions visitors or potential new member might ask. We record potential new member's names so that we may introduce them to Father Walker and other parishioners. COFFEE AND TEA HOUR: Directly after the 10:30 service, in the parish hall is our "Coffee and Tea "Hour." This is a great time for fellowship with other members of Grace Episcopal Church while partaking in light refreshments.
Care Givers The Care Givers is an active ministry at Grace Episcopal Church. This group works hard to remember all the sick and elderly of our Church. Members of this group visit, comfort, bake cakes and cook meals, send cards, flowers, and gifts, take to lunch and generally make our aged and infirmed parishioners feel loved and remembered.
